Recent review in Christianity Magazine
It was good to see Christianity magazine gave The Tide is Turning a good review. The reviewer didn’t like what he called my ‘naff cover’, but said …
‘I love this book. Terry Virgo (one of the leaders of the charismatic movement, author, founder of Newfrontiers and Stoneleigh Bible Weeks) has come up with a gem.
‘Through the lives of Joseph, Gideon and Nehemiah we’re provoked, challenged and inspired to make a difference. Each chapter looks at a different episode in the stories of these men and then applies them to ourselves and our churches in the increasingly godless society we live in – e.g. the most significant weapon for Gideon and his men was unity, without it they would have failed! ‘Although he doesn’t pull any punches Terry Virgo is compassionate about God’s family and its members, and passionate about the church being raised up again to do battle rather than being condemned and made to feel a failure.
‘This is a significant book for now, which can (and hopefully will) be used in a whole number of settings. Buy it!’
