A very happy Christmas to all my readers and friends
Since Wendy and I are in the southern hemisphere until the New Year, I shall not be sending any Christmas cards this year, but I do send my warm and affectionate greetings.
Christmas in the sunshine seems pretty attractive to me. It may be that we shall miss the historic authenticity of the bleak midwinter and frosty wind making moan, the snow laying round about, deep and crisp and even – but I reckon I am prepared to put up with the sunshine, the swimming pool and generally suffering in the southern hemisphere!
Wendy and I are seen here with Peter Brooks and friends from our churches in New Zealand.
Our time in Australasia and Japan has been truly memorable, and I believe wonderfully fruitful. I have certainly learned a lot and have counted it a huge privilege.
But we still look forward with eager anticipation to returning to Brighton at the beginning of the New Year and resuming the responsibilities that we have throughout our Newfrontiers world and the broader body of Christ as God opens doors in many directions.
I am grateful to those who bullied me into doing my blog and even more grateful that people take the trouble to glance at it occasionally. I pray it may be more of a blessing in the days and years to come as God enables.
Meanwhile, I wish you a very happy Christmas and a splendid 2009.
