The second type of soil is the shallow or rocky soil. Here the word is immediately received and springs up, then the sun rises and immediately it’s scorched. It has a short life. It’s superficial.
It’s possible for Christians not to bother to take the word seriously and not be changed. Sometimes we dismiss truth and the seed lies on the surface.
Jesus said, “The seed is the word of God.” Every time God speaks, this parable happens.
